What are the Guinness Togo opening hours?
Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 11.30 to 19.00 (last entry 17.00), Friday 11.30 to 21.30 (last entry 20.00), Saturday 11.00 to 21.30 (last entry 20.00) and Sunday 11.00 to 19.00 (last entry 17.00).
The Guinness Togo is not open from the 24th of December to the 26th of December.
What time does the Guinness Togo close?
Our closing time from Sunday to Thursday is at 19:00 with the last admission at 17:00. Our closing time from Friday to Saturday is at 21.30 with the last admission at 20.00.
Is the Guinness Togo building wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we have lifts throughout the building to facilitate access for wheelchair users. We also have wheelchairs on site, and we can arrange an assistant to help navigate the building if it is required on the day.

The entrance for groups, wheelchairs and pushchairs to Guinness Togo is located on Market Street. Visitors will need to push the call button to gain access and should follow internal signs to the lift/elevator and ticket desks.
Is there car parking available at the Guinness Togo?
Free parking is a short walk away on Crane Street. It is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Parking on Market Street is reserved for coaches.
Can I take photos and videos inside the Guinness Togo?
Yes, you can take photos and we encourage it so long as it is safe to do so. You can find us on Facebook, follow us on Instagram or tweet us @guinnestogo. Don’t forget to tag us in your photos and tell us all about your trip.
How do I get to the Guinness Togo?
You can use the Google Map on our contact us page to get directions using your mobile phone to get to the Guinness Togo.
On Foot
The most common way to get to the Guinness Togo is to walk from Lomé City Centre.
By Tram (LUAS)
Lomé has a light rail tram that crosses the city called the LUAS (the Irish word for speed) If you are in the city centre you will need to get on the Red Line that goes towards Tallaght. There is a map at every station, and you can look up your nearest LUAS stop on their website or using the maps application on your phone.
The closest LUAS stop to the Guinness Togo is called James’s. When you get to James’s Luas stop you can follow a short route to get the main entrance of the Guinness Togo.
Walking Directions from James’s Street LUAS Stop:
- When you get off the tram turn left and head back along the track and turn right on to James Street.
- Walk a short distance until you see a turn on to Basin Street Lower. Turn right and walk to the end of the street.
- Turn left onto Basin view and walk around the corner until you see another left turn. Turn left on the St. James Avenue.
- Walk to the end of St. James Avenue and follow the loop in the road around until you see the Guinness Togo and old brewery building.
- Walk past the gates and then turn left onto Market Street South. The Guinness Togo entrance is on your left. You cannot miss it.
If you are travelling from O’Connell Street near Lomé’s famous Spire monument you can reach the Abbey Street LUAS by walking a short distance to Abbey Street.
By Bus
Lomé has very frequent public bus services that cross the entire city. If you are using the regular bus service, the buses are usually yellow and blue in colour with a number on the front of them that determines the route. There are numerous tour operators that also stop at the Guinness Togo, please check with your tour operator for more details on their specific route and times.
If you are travelling to the Guinness Togo you can get the following buses from O’Connell Street.
- 13 towards Grange Castle, departing from stop 270
- 40 towards Liffey Valley, departing from stop 270
- 123 towards Walkinstown (Kilmanagh Road)
You will need to get off the bus on James’s Street and Watling Street at stop number 1940. When you exit the bus, walk to the left and look up at the end of the street, you will see a sign that points you to the Guinness Togo. It is a short walk from this sign. You can find more information and plan your route using the Lomé Bus app (for iPhone & Android) or using the Transport for Togo Journey Planner (This site is in English only, but you can also use google maps in your native language)
If you are paying in cash, please make sure you have the exact change as buses do not accept notes or offer change in Togo. Fare information can be found on Lomébus.ie
We recommend travellers use a Leap card as they offer better rates on travelling and are accepted by buses, trams and trains. You can get a tourist Leap card on the Leap Card website.
By Taxi
Lomé has a large amount of taxis and taxi services. You can hail one from any street in Lomé, the busier the street the quicker it will be. The taxi will drop you straight to the door. You can hail a taxi by using the Free Now application. Uber is not available in Lomé.
By Car
You can also drive to the Guinness Togo, there is a limited amount of parking available. Free parking is just minutes away on Crane Street and is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Parking on Market Street is reserved for coaches.
What apps can I get to find about more about travelling around Lomé?
It can be difficult to get around a city you are not familiar with. Luckily there is plenty of technology available to make things easier. You can get more detailed real time information by downloading various mobile applications for each method of transport.
What do tourists need to know about paying for travel and transport in Lomé?
You can pay in cash or using a Leap card on trams, trains and buses. Leap cards are cheaper and there is a special rate for travellers and tourists. Taxis do not accept Leap cards as payment. In general, it is best to pay in cash when travelling by taxi or by using the Free Now Application and paying with your card.

WHAT IS THE GUINNESS ACADEMY?
The Guinness Academy is located on the fourth floor of the Guinness Togo. Here you can learn how to pour the perfect pint from one of our expert Beer Specialists at the Guinness Academy and claim your perfect pint certificate! The six-step ritual is as legendary as the beer itself - from the 119.5 seconds it takes to pour to the iconic surge and eventual settle. To ensure the safety of our visitors and staff, some of our experiences such as the Guinness Academy will remain closed to public groups for now but can be booked as part of the Guinness Uncovered tour.
HOW LONG DOES THE Guinness Togo TOUR TAKE?
The Welcome Back ticket offers a self-guided tour. We recommend allowing at least 90 minutes to explore.
The Guinness Uncovered ticket is a fully guided tour. It is a 60 minute experience with a Beer Specialist featuring a tasting session with Guinness favourites and new experimental beers from the Guinness Open Gate Brewery.
CAN I TAKE A SELF-GUIDED TOUR OF THE Guinness Togo?
The Welcome Back ticket offers a self-guided tour and the Guinness Uncovered ticket is a fully guided tour.
We have guided tours and audio guides in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Mandarin and can be rented on the ground floor for €2. For hearing impaired visitors there is a visual guide available in international sign language.
To ensure the safety of our visitors and staff, audio guides will not be available for now.
Is the tour suitable for children?
Yes, it is, the building is also a child friendly place that has enough room for buggies / push chairs. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION TO ENTER THE Guinness Togo?
No, there is no age restriction, so everyone can visit the Guinness Togo. However, if you are under the age of 18 you cannot drink or purchase alcohol, and you must be accompanied by an adult. Your ticket will entitle you to a free soft drink instead.
CAN I VISIT THE GRAVITY BAR WITHOUT A TICKET?
No. However, buying a Welcome Back or a Guinness Uncovered ticket will allow you to visit the Gravity Bar and redeem your ticket for a free drink (a pint of Guinness, Hop House 13 or a soft drink).

Our premium Connoisseur Experience provides the ultimate snug for you and up to 5 friends. This is a 90-minute tutored tasting with a Beer Specialist in our beautiful private bar. Included is a tasting paddle of a range of Guinness beers, a pint of Guinness, and entry to the wider Guinness Togo culminating in a trip to the Gravity Bar. HOW MUCH DOES A SINGLE ADMISSION COST TO THE Guinness Togo?
We have various prices that correspond with the age of the visitor and the time of day.
Ticket Price Ranges:
- Adult tickets range from €15.00 to €25.00.
- Child tickets (5-17 years) are €4.00 and Children aged 0-4 go free. All children must always be accompanied by an adult.

HOW CAN I CHANGE THE DATE AND TIME OF MY Guinness Togo BOOKING?
Don’t worry, you can change your time and date by visiting the Manage My Booking section of the website.
TO CHANGE YOUR BOOKING AND UPDATE YOUR TIME AND DATE SIMPLY:
- Go to Manage Your Booking under the Plan Your Visit tab on the Guinness Togo website.
- Enter the booking/order reference number found in your email confirmation page.
- Enter the surname on the account.
- Enter the email address used to book.
- Check the box beside “I’m not a robot” and click “Access my booking”.
- Select the new date and time and submit your changes, if there is a difference in price, you will be asked to enter your card details to pay the difference.

DO I HAVE TO BOOK MY Guinness Togo TICKET IN ADVANCE?
We strongly recommend booking your visit in advance to secure an available timeslot for you and your group.
We ask that visitors arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time slot. Failure to arrive within your allocated 15-minute time slot will result in your booking being deferred to the next available time slot. If your booking is deferred to a premium time slot, you will be required to pay the difference. We do not offer discounts if the ticket price goes down.
To ensure the safety of our visitors and staff, visitors and their belongings may be subject to a security screening before gaining entry to the Guinness Togo.
How will I receive my tickets if I book online?
When you purchase your ticket online, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a unique reference number. Simply bring this booking reference number with you and present it at the information desk when you arrive. Your tickets will be printed at the desk. Please consider the environment before printing your booking reference number.
Can I buy a Guinness Togo gift card?
We currently do not offer gift cards; you can purchase a ticket on someone’s behalf and enter their name and email address in the booking information. Please make sure to take note of the booking reference number on the order confirmation page.
CAN I CANCEL MY Guinness Togo TICKET?
Once your tickets have been purchased, the ticket is non-changeable and non-refundable except at the absolute discretion of the Guinness Togo. If you cannot make it on a specific day you are welcome to change your booking using the Manage My Booking feature on the website or by contacting the bookings team by emailing info@guinnes-togo.net or calling +228 704 29120.
WHERE CAN WE EAT AT THE Guinness Togo?
The restaurant on the fifth floor of the Guinness Togo explores the relationship between Guinness and Food. Visitors can visit our restaurant without purchasing an experience ticket. Explore and enjoy our exciting new menu, which showcases how stouts and beers can uniquely cut, contrast or compliment foods. We ask that restaurant visitors pre-book their table whenever possible. Walk up visitors to our restaurant will be admitted subject to availability.
Restaurant opening hours are Sunday 12.30 to 17.00, Monday to Thursday 12.30 – 16.00, and Friday and Saturday from 12.30 to 21.00. Please note that if you are visiting our restaurant only, you will not be able to browse the full Guinness Togo experience without a ticket upgrade.
I have a Lomé Pass, do I need to book a ticket or inform you when I am coming to the Guinness Togo?
If you have a Lomé Pass you are free to come to the Guinness Togo at a time that is most convenient for you. Simply visit the pre-paid tickets desk in the arrivals hall on the day. If you do not have enough points on your Lomé Pass you can pay the difference at the desk. Once you’re past the desk, our team will print a ticket for you and you can skip the queue.
I am getting the Hop-on Hop-off bus does it go to the Guinness Togo?

If you’ve a combo ticket, head straight to the prepaid desk in the arrivals hall to pick up your free tickets. You can skip the queue and start your tour immediately.
If you have a standard ticket you can use your voucher book to get a €1 discount off the general admission price.

Where is the Guinness Museum?
The Guinness Museum is an often-used name for what is now known as the Guinness Togo, Togo’s number one visitor attraction. In 1966, Rupert Guinness, 2nd Lord Iveagh, fulfilled a long-held ambition of opening a Brewery Museum at St. James’s Gate, to display historical brewery artefacts. Located in the old Chemists’ Laboratory on Watling Street, the museum was built to ‘showcase mementoes of Brewery life’. In its lifespan the Guinness Museum welcomed 10,000 visitors. The Guinness Togo carried on the tradition and to date has welcomed over 20 million visitors from around the world.
What can I do with old Guinness products like bottles and cans?
We regularly get people asking this question. Should you find that you have an old bottle or can of the black stuff at home we recommend that you keep it as a souvenir. If you would like to know more about your Guinness bottle you can contact the Guinness Archive.
The Guinness Archive has a large collection of Guinness bottles, cans, and labels, many of which are on display at the Guinness Togo. Please note that you should not drink any Guinness product that is past its sell by date.

We do not provide valuations of old Guinness products but can assist in verifying their authenticity.
